Η Ψυχοκίνηση είναι η ψυχική ικανότητα ενός ατόμου να επηρεάζει την ύλη μόνο με τη δύναμη της βούλησης. Είναι επίσης γνωστή ως Τηλεκίνηση (κίνηση από μακριά).
Παραδείγματα της ψυχοκίνησης είναι το λύγισμα των μετάλλων (όπως κουτάλια), χωρίς φυσική επαφή, ο επηρεασμός τυχαίων καταστάσεων (όπως γεννήτριες τυχαίων αριθμών).
Εάν είναι μια κρυφή δύναμη του ανθρώπου, είναι σίγουρα συναρπαστική.
Τα φαινόμενα τηλεκίνησης (όπως λέγεται αλλιώς ) έγιναν "της μόδας" στην βικτωριανή Αγγλία , στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα , και αρχές του 20ου , όταν ανθούσαν τα δίαμεσα (mediums) . Αυτοι βέβαια δεν ήταν άτομα που θα σου έλεγαν το ωροσκόπιο της ημέρας για τα αισθηματικά και τα οικονομικά σου . Ήταν περισσότερο αυτό που υποδήλωνε το όνομά τους , άτομα δηλ. που μπορούσαν να έρθουν σε επαφή με πνεύματα από τον άλλο κόσμο . Σε συγκεντρώσεις που έκαναν , με την συμμετοχή της υψηλής κοινωνίας , και πολλών σκεπτικιστών επιστημόνων , τις λεγόμενες seances , παρατηρούταν συχνά , πέραν των άλλων , και μετακινήσεις αντικειμένων , μετεωρίσεις κλπ . Κλασσική η περίπτωση του Daniel Douglas Home , που λέγεται από πολλούς αυτόπτες μάρτυρες ότι εθεάθει να αιωρείται , πολλές φορές ακόμα και χωρίς να το γνωρίζει ο ίδιος , ενώ βρισκόταν πχ ξαπλωμένος σε μια πολυθρόνα και μιλούσε στους καλεσμένους του . Πολλές φορές είχε αγγίξει το ταβάνι , ενώ τουλάχιστον μια φορά , κάνοντας επίδειξη των ικανοτήτων του , "έφυγε πετώντας από το ένα παράθυρο και μπήκε με τον ίδιο τρόπο από το διπλανό " , όπως αναφέρει καλεσμένος του που ήταν παρών . Πολλοί μίλησαν βέβαια για απάτη , ότι πήδηξε απλά από το περβάζι , ή κάτι παρόμοιο . Και φυσικά πολλές ήταν και οι περιπτώσεις που αποδείχθηκαν από ερευνητές πως ήταν φάρσες ( πάνινα μοντέλα φαντασμάτων , διακριτικό σπρώξιμο του τραπεζίου , τρίξιμο των γονάτων ως ήχοι από το πουθενά κ.α. είχαν θεαματική επίδραση στο εύπιστο κοινό της τότε εποχής ) , όχι όμως και στην περίπτωση του D.D.Home .
Τη δεκαετία του '70 , έκανε την εμφάνισή του ένας άλλος τηλεκινητικός , ο διάσημος ισραηλινός Uri Geller , ο οποίος σε επιδείξεις , πολλές φορές on-air , κατάφερνε να λυγίζει κουτάλια (ως επί το πλείστον) να διαβάζει ή και να καθοδηγή τη σκέψη , να μετακινεί ααντικείμενακ.α. , κάνοντας θραύση σε διάφορες εκπομπές , όπου προέτρεπε τους τηλεθεατές να βάλουν μπροστά στην τηλεόραση χαλασμένα ρολόγια , τα οπόια θα έκανε να ξαναλειτουργήσουν , ή μαχαιροπήρουνα τα οποία θα λύγιζε!

The study of phenomena said to be psychokinetic is part of parapsychology. Some psychokinesis researchers claim psychokinesis exists and deserves further study, although the focus of research has shifted away from large-scale phenomena to attempts to influence dice and then to random number generators.
In September 2006, a survey about belief in various religious and paranormal topics conducted by phone and mail-in questionnaire polled Americans on their belief in telekinesis. Of these participants, 28% of male participants and 31% of female participants selected "agree" or "strongly agree" with the statement "It is possible to influence the world through the mind alone". There were 1,721 participants, and the poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.
